Simulation Training

ABIM Simulation Training

For those who sign up to take the ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) course, the Medical Simulation Corporation in cooperation with ABIM will be offering simulation training. Participants will be able to earn MOC procedural credits by completing a medical simulation, which provides a hands-on opportunity to perform cases that mirror what a physician would typically face in daily practice. These sessions will take place in Rooms 331 and 332 of the Convention Center. Simulation training will be available from Saturday through Monday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sign up for MOC courses during registration.

Physicians already enrolled in the ABIM MOC program can request an ABIM testing session at ACC by visiting the ABIM website at www.abim.org and clicking on the "Physician Login" link in the upper right corner of the screen to access the MOC section. From there they will be connected to the Medical Simulation Corporation site to schedule a testing appointment.

Simulation Stations and Education

The i2 Summit is excited to offer hands-on simulation for i2 and Full-Access attendees. This is an excellent opportunity for Fellows in Training to gain hands-on experience but this training is available to all interested interventionalists.

The “Simulation Stations” are located on the ACC.09 Exposition floor immediately behind the i2 Summit Interventional Pavilion. Get trained on procedures including coronary, carotid, renal and SFA/iliac interventions. Visit the centralized registration desk onsite to reserve your slot.

In addition to simulation training, you will have an opportunity to sit in on didactic sessions schedule in the Simulation Room. For a full list of educational opportunities, visit the onsite registration desk.

Appreciation is expressed to the following companies for their in-kind support of equipment and technical expertise.
